Innovation, our Priority
The development of new products has traditionally been focused on the creation of new solutions for health improvement. Lisan’s line of products includes a line for treating illnesses, a line of cosmetics, a line of natural food supplements, and a line a veterinary products.

At present we have a joint research and development project with INBio, specialized in the active natural ingredients of plants. This project is referred to as Lisanatura.

We Strive for Quality
The facilities of Lisan Laboratories were built according to the standards of the FDA of the United States. We have a 50,000 square feet infrastructure located in the Industrial Zone of Curridabat. (San José, Costa Rica). It was build following the world advances in the field of drug manufacturing. The laboratory was built to comply with GMP Regulations for Manufacture and Inspection in the Pharmaceutical Industry”, which guarantees the safety, quality and efficacy of the medicine to the consumer.

The products that we manufacture are controlled by international specifications such as the American Pharmacopea (USP) and the British Pharmacopea (BP).
Nowadays, Lisan Laboratories commercializes its products domestically and in the Central American market. It also competes openly for the institutional market of the Social Security System of Costa Rica among laboratories around the world, under the system of Public Bidding, where the winner is decided on the basis of quality and price. It must be pointed out that the Quality Control Department of the Social Security System of Costa Rica (C.C.S.S.) is one of the most sophisticated in Latin America.

Currently the products that we commercialized are registered with the respective ministries of Health and Agriculture. Of these, 80 are medicines for human consumption, 29 for veterinary use and 4 are registered as phyto-drugs.
